ok now that i hopefully got his attention or anyone else who can answer me, I got 2 questions..
If my bags are the way they are. I didn't mount my brackets angled, so my bags are bottoming out, and I am about an inch from laying, will spindles get me all the way down? I hope so cuz i just bought some last week and will be here today.
Also, what is the best size steel everyone uses to skin their beds with? 14 or 16 guage?
Spindles should get you down the extra couple inches you need.... if thats all you need.
As for doin a sheet metal bed i'd think 14g is probably sufficient... 16 would work to im sure.
i did my bed in 18 guage... its very strong.. do it in 16 if your worried.. any more than than is very unnecesary weight
the spindles, yes will get you down if you're only an inch from laying.
as for the bed, it depends how much of a 'frame' you build for it first.. if you do one that is really solid, 16 or 18 ga will be fine.
haha what the heck?
Glad you got your answers Blitch! I love you too... oh wait, you didnt say love.. oh crud and now I already said it...
i used 16 guage inmy bed and it worked fine, it s really easy to weld
it's ok russ, i feel the love...
