when I was 12 or so 3 or 4 of the installers at my dad's car stereo shop had minitrucks. now this was back in the hey-day of minitruckin'. one had a convertible body kitted S-10, another had molded ground effects and a topper full of subs, and 2 others had Rangers that were slammed. I subscribed to MT (back in '94) and was hooked ever since.
One guy Adam that worked for my dad had a Ranger that was way low for it's day and it would scrape over the little hump on the garage bay at the shop and I thought that was the coolest thing ever. it went through a variety of heights and even a 2 tone drip style paint job on 5 stars.
I was hooked... and never looked back, and I still talk to the one that got me hooked from time to time today 13 years later.

I had always had a love of cars and trucks. Since I was a little kid, I had always been into cars, hot wheels, then the power wheels, etc. One year on family vacation, when I was about 15, we went to pigeon forge, happened to be the mini truckin weeekend, that did it. Ever since I havn't been able to put it down, hope I never will.
