general question

i just sold my 4x4 2500. im looking into a dually. i really want a 01, 02 body style. and id love another dmax. my problem is i dont want to finance alot. i have 7g's in hand now. so i would like to know performance upgrades on a 6.5 turbo diesel in the 00 or older? or should i just run the 454, in a 00 or older. 8.1, or 6.0 in a 01 or newer? its going to be my daily. and its going to be laid out on 24's. what would you guys suggest? and i want a lot of power. and fuel milage plays a little in the roll. i dont drive much during the day.

dont get a dually if your worried about gas!!! i have a 2000 with a 454 and im lucky if i can get 10 mpg out of her!! the desiel is better on fuel mileage but your gunna spend more to buy one....

^ that's a big 10 - 4 lol! I don't know of any upgrades for the chevy desiel right off hand. but doubt you'd get any better gas mileage with a built 454..... and also, the 01 and newer dually's are a pain in the ass to lay out on big ass wheels.......

only thing i can think of is a banks kit from banks engineering all kinds of goodies

Id go diesel, everybody has seen the performance mods applied on "Trucks" and the numbers are impressive. And its almost all plug in stuff.

i got 10-12 mpg out of my 454 ! and my grandpa has 6.0 he gets 12-15 mpg and my uncle has the 8.1 he says he gettin 15 mpg but i think he full of it! LOL , my cousin had a 01 duramax with programer and gutted exhaust and he got 15 loaded and about 18 unloaded, i dunno if they make a dually with 6.0 in it but that be the best way to go in my opinion
