I hope you dont have to pay - the guy that owns the tahoe couldnt afford the $500-600 bux he thought it was gonna cost to get the truck out of impound - no longer to pay to get his truck running to get it smogged - no longer to pay taxes on the mods!!
i heard that they have a loop hole - like on the extreme makeover home addition - on that show they "lease" your house for a week and improvements made to your house by someone else who's leasing it are not subject to taxation by the government. id say overhaulins doing the same thing
what i want to know is - how long they get to keep your ride after its done - you all noticed you can see them driving those vehicles or they are at some of the bigger shows that come to your town - hell they even advertise for the events - "come see overhaulins tahoe...."
One of my neighbors is friends with the lady who got her el camino done along with the Napa S-10. From what I heard, they cannot sell the vehicle for at least a year, and sometimes they are in such a hurry to get it together. A few bolts were loose and a molding fell off when they were driving it home. Still they did not get a bad deal, it was free. As far as paying the taxes on it, I am not sure.

Jances question: So if I won a car on the Price is Right I would have to pay for it???
A lady i used to work with one a blazer on the price is right and she did have to pay for it. She had to pay 6000-7000g's for it for taxes. It was like a $20,000 blazer - not a bad deal.
I feel sorry for the fockers on there that you know are broker than hell - knowing even when the win they aint getting shit! That's how that show keeps going - they keep "re-gifting" that stuff over and over again!!
