dumb suspension question

if i were to do a rear flip kit on a 85 silverado with drop springs. would the drop springs lower the truck more or would it work againt me. trying to get a 7 inch drop out of the rear and most companys say a flip kit gets a 5 inch drop. thanks for the help.

they have a 6" flip. Or you can do the 5" and 2" hangers or shackles

Drop leaf springs would lower it more, not lift it. The flip just relocates the axle on top of the leaf pack from under it. You could even run a lowering block once you have the flip done, or even just install a 2" drop shackle- but be careful not to go out of whack with your pinion angle! Good luck!
