d50 not runnin right

i just bought this d50 as my daily and it like floods its self it feels like, while going up hills and going over like 35 .. it just has no nuts... i changed the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter,and did a oil change ....... is this a known problem with d50s/mitsus?....and how can i fix it??? any help would be great

ok so does it flood itslef, or it has no power? cause thats 2 different things there.

sounds like it could be the MAF-{MASS AIR FLOW} sensor those seem to go out alot... do you have a check enegine light? also did you replace the ignition coil? you might want to replace that...

those trucks have mad carb problems and a rebuilt one is about $450. buy a weber and get on with your day. gain gas miles and power.

the matnence required light is on ...and i did not replace the coil..yet....thanks i'll look into these thing and hopefully can get it going

either a weber or a holley 5200. go to mightyd50.com and check into a holley 5200. they fit the weber adapter plate, and is a perfect size jetted carb for these little trucks. it is a direct mirror oppisite of a weber. and they can run about 150-200 at advance for a newly rebuitl one. call and ask about a holley 5200 for a 77 ford pinto.

its the carb, i used a weber off a dune buggy, never had a problem

check your cat too it may be shot. my d50 did that when the cat was gone, i would go to accelerate and it would spudder almost like it was flooded.
