I bought the Jan 91 issue of Mt sometime in late 90.....thought to myself holy shit these trucks are kick ass.... then shortly after buyin thats issue I saw David Hughes' mazda (which would later become Raspberry Delight) in stock lowered form rollin some pathfinders & a solid topper & the same day I saw his truck for the 1st time I saw Jonathan Faris' all black 84 4 door Cavy on 15" elite 5 stars come bouncin/draggin across the intersection( due to no springs ) I was hooked after that & lucky enuff to become friends w/ both of those guys....

This is hilarious, and you'd have to confirm with the MAGICAL MINIS CREW, but I remember seeing those guys rolling around Salem back in like the Mid-1980's with 113-14" rims and static dropped suspension.

When I first saw those, I was like, damn, when I get older, I'ma roll one of those.

Then as we all know, that stuff grew out, and you didn't see much anymore. I was hooked for life though on minis and would stare into the pages of MT Magazine for hours on end.

Fucking Magical Minis hooked me long ago. Shit, I was only 4-6 years old when I first saw them rollin.

Magical has been around for a long time. Donnie's King Tuck was one of the first inspirational trucks for me too. I'll never forget the sticker on his windshield: "Gone So-Low" that meant so much at the time. "Going So-low" Is a shop name but it also was a journey most of us have gone through: THE BIG BODY DROP

i got my s10 in 93 no real truck got me started but one got me going on a crazy course....i was in new orleans visiting family in early 95 and drove my truck out
my buddy with me noticed a show a comming up and said lets stay for it
we did it was the first showfest
while there we talked to tons of cool people and even a few jerks one ass in perticular had a tandem s10 at the show (was on the insert to order mag back in early 90)and started to say it was a thing that was hard to do and could only be done by a select few
well aweek after returning hom my s10 with low miles was cut up and the tandem began
not in a shop but in the back yard
was done in a few weeks drove it awhile then decided to send to body shop to make it look good for paint and they jacked it up and the story goes............
