My truck was just shot at Havoc for the busted knuckle garage section in Sport Truck.Definately wasnt aiming at getting it in a mag but now that it will be I am pretty hyped. I guess in a way it is a little redemption to all the people who have said it's a piece of shit and stuff! I mean come on its a work in progress wait till I am done before you judge it. lol but oh well it just shows that everyone has different tastes and the mags have to try and cater to all. I know its an under construction feature and not the same as a regular one but fuck it. I made it by building what I want not what someone else wants. And hopefully when its done I will get a finished feature on it and know at least one other person besides myself liked what I did. And if not ? oh well I will still rock the hell out of it and drag that bitch!
um, i took my toyota to like 3 shows in the beginning of 2004 and then put it back under the knife for finishing and everyone jsut asks wheen its gonna be done, so they can shoot it, i guess it helps if you have something out of the ordinary, not saying a toyota is out of the ordinary but it is as far as toyotas go so, anyway, good lukc, i dont really thing your seeing rhe bigger picture thouhg, i go to shows to aprty with my club and have a great time networking and meeting the faces that i send parts to every day, not really about the feature, although it is nice recognition.
Build it the way you want.
Honestly, I could care less about features and trophies. They would be cool to have, but thats not what the sport is supposed to be about. I just want a cool truck I can drive the shit out of.
exactly. if you dont treat it as a popularity contest and just build your ride for you and meet a bunch of cool people who share the same interest as you, then its worth it. when your ride is really clean and nice, it will get noticed and youll be rewarded for your hard work and enjoy the fruit of your labor in print.
trophies and features are over rated. I build my truck because i enjoy the work. not the features and the trophies. those things just come along with it. If your going to build a truck just to be featured, quit now man. Mini truckin is so much more than that
GETTIN A FEATURE FOR SOME PEOPLE MEANS EVERYTHING TO THEM. AND FOR OTHERS ITS NOTHIN. IM BUILDING A TRUCK TO HOPEFULLY GET IT IN A MT MAG AND GET A FEATURE. IF I DON'T OH WELL. I LOVE THIS SPORT AND DEEP DOWN THATS WHY EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THIS SITE LOVES IS THE SPORT OF CUSTOMIZE RIDES
well you do know what Mr T says about people you cry about not getting mag coverage right ?
There is no secret. Just take a long hard look at what gets featured. It takes some serious thought, time, dedication and money to get featured. It is definetly not easy. Pay attention to detail and be consistent with quality. It has to look like a Magazine truck, not a total piece of shit. Spend more time planning and less time bitching and you just might get featured.
for mini truckin a severed sticker on your shit!!!!!
Who fuckin cares, jesus christ.......a mag feature would be cool but man.....id rather known i built my shit for me and not for someone saying "Oh if you lift your truck and put 28's on it ill give you the cover to Dick Chaser Monthly"
fuck that shit
be your self not some tool
