yeah theres only problems when the compressor is mounted sideways usually because the piston is rubbing the wall that is facing down more. but that air zenith is fine thought because my buddy is sponsored by AZ and they looked at it and they said its fine that way. I think its usually viairs and thomas that have problems being mounted sideways.

I had a Datsun 620 with a tilt bed, and the bed stayed down just fine with no latch. I never went faster than about 70 with it, but it never even moved. Now, if I was dragging it would clunk around a bit, but it WAS a Datsun, so the clunking could have been other loose parts!
For what it's worth, your tilt setup looks WAY better than my "single bag with gate hinges welded to the frame" method- nice work!

bed frame looks sweet .
i've got a question off the subject, what doe's your wishbone pivot off of at the point on the pumkin...the threads??or doe's that bushing flex enough for the rear end to articulate.

I'f its the same bushing I'm using on my wishbone, it will flex enough to articulate like a normal leaf spring setup. A few inches side to side, maybe 3" or so. But it wouldnt be good for laying one side out.

that was the one thing i did'nt like about terry's set up (krz) it had a bushing there but it pivoted on the threads,i never understood why a johnny or a heim was'nt used there.

anyway, killer frameing on the bed,i hope you don't have to re-work anything with the air shocks so that you can keep moveing forward.

ive got two 380's mounted on their sides under my bed floor, but its only been a few months.. only thing is that they seem to pump a bit slower.. would that be related?

no need for criticism on a job well done! looks great! you can always make a tray for the compressor.

we may just build 2 trays for the compressors anyways to guard it from tire spray when he gets the one for the other side. I'll probably mount it right side up then. Yes, it pivots on the threads. I used 1" grade 8 bolts for the adjusters on all the links. I have always used threads for pivots on the triangle and they lay sides fine. Every thing that I have put a triangulated setup on has been able to 3 wheel like nothin. Oh by the way, have you guys seen that video where this reg cab chevy is bustin 3 wheel and then turns a bit harder and gets it on the 2 wheels? Its pretty sick shit. I seen it on my space. heres the link to his page... EVERYONE is able to view it, you dont need an account to watch! heres the link... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=12229243

Hey Dude that shit looks good. Good workmanship. Will you havea problem when you lift the bed getting the bed to clear the cab ?? I would put a latch on it that you have to pull each time you try to lift it. i would just put a driving latch on it. Maybe and electric selinoid that will throw when you go into drive or something.
