Have a 99 civic put it on air and all the shit you can do to an import. Then found a wrecked 95 Hardbody truck for a little bit of nothing. Bought the truck and decided I was gonna body drop it. Lay rocker and make sure it layed hard. Well had to learn how to weld and do a shit load of math to get shit right but hey it got finished and is layin body. Now the import is for sale and sits in the garage. Don't even pay attention to it.

I've always been into custom cars since I was little. My dad and uncles took me to hot rod shows since I was born. What got me into trucks? The one below. The guy who owns it used to live across town from me and I used to drive by all the time. I finally stopped one day to look at it and he came up and talked to me. I started going over there regularly and he tought me so much. From fabricating to welding, paint and prep, everything. He is one of my hero's cause he took some young kid and showed me you can do it yourself. You don't need a shop. I am very thankful that he took the time to take me in.

I've been helping my dad work on cars since I was 6 or 7. When I was in high school I had some friends that had a truck club called Mystical Dreams. They all had some nice rides. Then I met a guy from cali and he was driving an awesome toyota space cab and after all that I got my first lowrider by trading in a benz I had and that was in the early 90's. I've been driving a lowered s10 blazer since then. The one I have no I've got alot done to it. But I just can't stop doing it. If I had more money I'd have a fullsize with bags and a rag top. I've tried to stop but I just can't. It's too much fun and the looks you get help you to keep on going.

I was on my way home from work about 5 or 6 years ago in my newly purchased sonoma... all I had at the time was some after market tail lights... yay.. but anyways I seen another sonoma (reg cab long box) and it was damn low! so I followed him for a bit but he was squirrly and got away... that was one of the first local BD'd trucks i seen...

but back in like 98 or so I had always said to myself that I was going to have a black truck, with black tint and lowered... couple years after that I had it and it was my first truck.

but what really got me hooked was a friend when I was in college... back in like 2000 we'd be in class on our laptops and he'd always send me pics of mini trucks... finally he sent me a few links... the few that stand out were:

www.droppedatbirth.com
www.dropsicles.com
www.socalcustoms.com

it was at that point that i started buying every mag I could and finding all the pics I could of badass trucks... since then i've been hooked... its probably the most expensive addiction i'll ever have and i've spent the past few months workin my ass off with the help of friends to build my first frame, with a rx7 IRS, and all kinds of other crazy goodies! It will finally get shown for the first time this weekend at the annual show that our club hosts The iLLconformity Summer Shocker. The show is being covered by LLV, Domination, Tailgate and Mini Truckin Mag...so stay tuned for the show coverage soon!

What got me addicted to mini truckin was in about the 10th grade a guy I went to high school with had a red s-10 on bags it was pretty clean. One day he got stuck on a speed bump in front of the school so I helped him push it off the bump. I guess he didnt have enough lift with the way his bags were set up. That pretty much started it, but then I had many encounters with minis. I then got a subscription to MINI TRUCKIN, Truckin, Sport Trucks through the years. Like one day I was in the car with my dad and we passed CI customs where there was a body dropped mazda on like 22's cause the wheels were coming out of the hood and bed. I had never seen a body dropped truck and I almost shit myself on how low it was! I then went out and got a job as a bagboy and worked 40 hour weeks during the grocery strike so I could buy and s-10. At the very end of my seinor year I finally bought a 100% stock 2000 s-10 I was stoked. But it has taken me like 3 years to get it to where it is now. And Im still addicted to building up my s-10!
