What is the defining moment in which you knew you had the truck/lifestyle addiction?a guy on another forum started this and i thought it was really an awesome thread.

My personal story:

i live for this shit, and consider my self extremely hardcore, even though im only on my first REAL build. i have tought my self how to weld so i can bag my truck. i learned how to cut, how to grind. did this for months, before i could actually lay an awesome bead. All so i can do my own work. anyways i was on the bus one day in about 8th grade. and there was a local club down here called down to earth. well i was sitting next to the window and we were at a stop light. well i looked out the window and i seen this guy sittin in this phat ass truck, and he layed his truck out. looked at that truck untill he turned off without ever blinking. i knew from that moment on i would one day own something bagged. and will be here for the rest of my life. i got home that day and told my dad about what i have seen. he brought me to the store and i bought my first magazine, mini truckin, and i read and read and read. every mag 5 and six times each. i have always told my friends and family that one day i will be a very well respected minitrucker...and i still say that one day i will. from that day when i was on the bus on it was in my veins and in my blood, and its never gonna bleed out

if there is a similar topic i apoligize i searched but found nothing

i have always been into cars. since i was about 2 or so i have been going to the autorama show in houston with my dad and uncle who is a pro. race car driver and when i was old enough to have my own ride i was really into the lowrider scene so thats what i built first. i would have to say that in 1998 i saw dave's blue f-150 bagged and body dropped on 20's and about a week later i went out and bought myself a brand new f-150 ex cab step side like his lol of course i didnt have the skills or the funds to build it as bad ass as his but i tried hahaha after that i still had the bug and was making a bit more money so the f-150 was gone and i moved on to the quad cab ran in 02, bought it brand new and started cutting it up from day one. i always said i would be into the truck scene for ever but after doing it for 7 years or so i needed a break and now i have something simple while the bug builds up inside me again, so maybe a few years from now i will build another truck but for now im just enjoying the break and loving the shit out of the stang

i was like 12 when a few mini truckers moved in a house down from me and they would always be workin on their shit in the driveway. i'd watch and they'd ask if i would run to the store for them. they gave me a dollar to get me somethin too so i wasn't losin out. i earned myself the nick name runnin man. well after i became good friens with them... then Shannon aka Pres of moved in with those mini truckers on the corner. they had bbq's all the time and the road would be lined with layed out trucks. thats pretty much what got me into Freaks and into mini trucks. oh and my runnin man nickname is gone...its pretty much token or blacky. then i lived happily ever after. the end!

I've always been into modifying something since I was little. Whether it's a bicycle or a truck. Up untill a few years ago I would of loved to own a bagged truck but audio/video was my thing. Then I got my ram, and I started hearing the truck talking to me saying "bag me". What pushed me over the edge was one day at was at Sonic getting some lunch. There was a really nice truck on the other side of sonic. I was checking it out. The guy looked at me and layed it out. Since that day, i have been on a mission to lay my truck out. I'm half way there now.
