evercoat z grip, you only need to start with 80, it sands really easily.

u need to use some dyna hair first after grinding down your welds, then sand that down and then use bondo to get it smooth.

Very true. You dont wanna put a talc based filler down over a weld seem ever. Tiny little holes in the welds will let moisture in and will make the filler fall out eventually. Always cover a weld seam with a fiberglass first. I prefer Dynaglass for that. Knock it down with 36 grit then cover it with your filler. I prefer evercoat. You can start off with 36 on this step, but when your getting close to the shape your looking for drop down to 80. The coat it with a light weight self leveling filler. The product i use is called dolphin glaze (awesome). Knock that down with 80, 180 lightly in the filled areas and work it into the exsisting paint. Any question just lemme know.

just take your time and everything should come out great. my first body work was my tailgate bout month ago, and till havent got to colorsand it... lol my paint doesnt match well during the day, but looks ok at night

ok this topic comes up time and time and time again...all these guys have offerered great answers BUT this is jsut direct here to ur question...

Weld...(obviously)
Lay down some Fiberglass Resin Jelly..(Brand doesnt REALLY matter..)
sand in an X motion with 80 grit sandpaper ON A SANDING BLOCK!!
Lay down some RAGE GOLD BODY FILLER...sand this with 80 then 120..
Lay down Everclear finsihing putty..(VERY LIGHTLY) then sand that with 320..lay ur epoxy..resand with 320 then ur 2k...wetsand it all...have a nice day..lol..

Just so you know...fiberglass is only an opinion. You chose wether or not to use it.
