small leak,need better than soap

got a small weeper can't find it with soap,any better ideas beside driving it into the lake

got the same problem it only leaks some times. it well be fine for days then one morning tanks half empty i think its a push to connect

yeah push to connect fittings are crappy. They always end up leaking.

what do use other then push to connects? compression maybe? from where?

i always use compression fittings,get mine from a local big rig company,and they even carry some at lowes.

A friend of mine gave me this stuff they use to find leaks in a/c systems. Don't remember the name of it, but it was this yellow liquid that bubbled 100x more than soapy water. You might try looking for something like that.

^ I'd like to know what that's called also, sounds useful.

But like Russ-D said, I had a small leak that I couldn't find anytime, no matter how much dish soap/water/time I used lol.. Turned out my Thomas 315 'reed' check valves were warped and 2 of my compressor heads leaked air back through the filters which I wasn't soaking with soapy water. Could that be your problem? Either way good luck..

yeah i do heating and air work, we use some leak detector called Big Blue, try that its pretty damn good!

u might have to go to a heating and air supply store though
