that helps a lot dragnazz. i think i would would rather z it then drop the motor and section the oil pan. tacofel, with the z how much would you have to drop the motor to keep it under the hood and how much did you z.
my 98 taco is in the shop currently (pics on profile) and is stock floor body dropped and will lay on the rocker (before it went into the shop it was on the pinch) ... oh and has an 01 front end with the motor in the stock location with working A/C...
My taco dosent have a Z either, I reworked the crossmember and rack and dropped my engine 1/2". The hood cleared but was rubing holes in my vacuum hoses. I also dropped my powersteering resivour 5/8". Nice taco Brandon!
Mines to the rocker kinda hard to tell from these pics but it lays pretty hard
Doing a z on a taco is a waste of time. I dont enderstand why everyone wants to be crushing there quarter panels when the truck lays out. I am a fan of body dropping but I seen too many shitty trucks with the bed sides bowing out when the trucks on the ground. Looks like shit to me. Theres my 2 pennys
no z on mine........ pics later this week. Did a traditional 3 1/2 to the rocker. I have a V-6 so it sticks past the hood. Going to work the motor mounts and section the oil pan later so I can try and put a Mild cowl induction hood on it. All you guys rides look good though! Good luck Brian with yours!
ahab..... I dont know about the other guys but i have seen Erics Taco first hand and can tell you it lays flat and the bedsides dont bow out the thing is imaculate
the way i see it is all of these tacos on here are layin rocker with no bowing and look killer. besides how are you gonna drag body if you arent layin hard.
y bd it if it isnt gonna lay? mines bd'd 3.25 with stock hood on 20s and lays flat rocker.
