To run Shocks, or not to run Shocks?

Well I'm having the front of my 2000 dime redone, and I'm wondering if I should run shocks on it? I have the SUICIDEDOORS shock relocator kit, and Belltech Nitro drop shocks, but since Im using RE-7 Slam Bags I'm wondering if I really want to sacrifice my turning clearence? But that leads me to wonder if I should sacrifice my saftey just so I can turn better? I've heard both sides of the story "oh you'll be fine with no shocks up front with Slam Bags", but I've also heard of people blowing bags on the freeways and totaling there trucks? I also dont have the money right now to do anything fancy like recess the shocks into the frame or put them infront of the wheels using the sway bar. SO I ask what would yall do in my situation?????????? And are shocks really necessary for the front of an S-10 with a factory sway bar, RE-7 Slam Bags, and a 4cycl motor? Thanks and Keep on Keeping on!!

Run them in the back for sure, with the RE-7 you do not have to in the front. I do not in the front of DOA and it rides great, BUT I use the stoner 9000 sleeve bags in the rear and the shocks and have a wonderful ride.

Kevin Would you like to elaborate on that a little more for me please? Because I believe the only way to avoid steering radius problems on an s-10 is to notch the frame, and recess the shocks, so your wheels wont rub them, as far as I know.

~Yea I got KYB gas shocks in the back with cony's and its real smooth!!!

Forhot to ad that if that bag is mounted correctly and not touching you have no worries about blowing it unless you shoot 1000 psi of nitrogen to them (exagerated)

my fullsize never had shocks on it and i drove it many hours from home on the interstate and have never had problems but with shocks you do have a better ride the truck dont seem to float down the road as bad

lol... recessing shocks is fancy??
you already got the welder out .. take a half hour more and do it right...

if you dont want to, seriously you're not goin to lose that much turning radius...
i don't know many bagged trucks that are in the scca rollin hard into hairpins...

There is a so called sweet spot in the front right behind the arm that with most wheels wont affect your turning radius. It also needs to be the right style mount and shock.
