i'll admit i rocked the monoleaf for about 2 years. never had a problem until i got 20s and then it wouldn't lay out. but it layed out fine with 18s. i know alot of people don't like it but i never had a problem. if you have a powerful motor or anything like that i probley wouldn't do it. but i just had the stock 2.8 v6 in my s-10. hope that helps.

if it's really for a "short time", why not just wait a short time and do it right the first time? I know this isn't what you asked, but in my experience, doing it quick and dirty usually ends up costing more in the long run...

i've rocked a mono leaf before with no problems, but i flipped the leaf upside down as well.

^^^ with bags though?

I don't really have a problem with mono's for static drops, but i just think that's way to much stress to run one w/ adjustable suspension.

my last truck was monoleafed (de arched) and I drug it like a cavewoman. BUT

The leafs were lower than the frame, so it drug leaf.

The pinion angle was all jacked up laid out, I got vibrations over 40mph.

It lifted like little to nothing with bag over axle.

So link it. And that doesnt mean 2 link it, doing a proper 2 link (is there a proper two link?) on a mazda means moving the gas tank, and if you are moving the tank might as well 3 or 4 link it.
