I own a very sucsesfull Cabinet Buisness. Everything, including my truck, is paid for. It wasn't allways this way, I have only been doing good for about 4 years now. Before that I had to save, and scrape by on what I could. But I learned how to do just about everything on my truck, so that saves a ton of cash. Plus, make sure you buy qulity components. Bieng cheap up front will only end up costing you more to do it again, the right way, with the right parts.

most of these guys that have custom trucks, spend every single penny they have on them. Yes most of them have awesome paying jobs and are a lot older.

i am a little older then you and i don't have a lot done to mine, i am just gonna have to wait till mine is paid off.

don't worry dude, you'll get it all fixed up before ya know it.

Join the Marines and go to combat for 7 months, as long as you have no bills, and come home alive, you should make out with about $15,000.

thats nothing. you could make more then that in 7 months at mcdonalds selling fench fries and not have to worry about dying

I worked for American Eagle Wheel for a year making $8.75 and i saved just about all i made. Just have car insurance on my beater which is $87 a month and health ins = $135 a month. I took a month off and worked on my truck now im working at Advanced making $8.00 but its 3 miles from my house opposed to 25. Basically make more now b/c of gas. Just set goals, try to do everything yourself, and live at home until you finish school and your truck

stay home as long as you can, or until your friends make fun of you enough to move out. or if your mom walks in on you doin shit with your girl.

i'm a 23 yr old web/graphic designer making about $30K/year. not bad, but it's hard when you got credit card debt, 2 car loans, school loans, cell phone, gym membership, lunch, cell phone, insurance, internet, computer, and other payments.....

just try to stay away from going into deep debt. i've been so close to paying them off, then something comes up. but i've really learned that there will always be bills. so have as much fun as you can, and don't change your life just to bag a truck. i go on two big vacations every year and that's what usually keeps my credit card payments around. just pay them on time and pay more than the minumum payment.

you might consider selling your ride and buying something that has already been bagged to save you some money. it takes a lot of money and time to build your truck from the ground up. i couldn't afford it yet.

^^^damn that was long...

I work for Kicker building demo vehicles, making 33k a year. I couldn't ever afford to pay anybody to do my stuff so I watched, read, and learned. If I can't do it myself I learn to. As far as parts just save up, shit doesn't happen over night.

WELL ONE DAY I WAS USING ONE OF THOSE CREDIT CARD THINGS TO CUT UP LINES OF YAY, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT HIT ME, RATHER THAN USING MY NOSE AS A VACUUM AND USING ALL THIS I COULD SELL IT. NOW I HAVE A FREE PLACE TO STAY, I GET 3 SQUARE MEALS, AND FREE CLOTHES. PLUS THE STATES PAYING ME $.15/HR TO PICK UP TRASH A COUPLE HOURS A DAY, BUT WITH NO EXPENSES IT ADDS UP AND WHEN I GET TO DRIVE MY TRUCK IN 5-10 YEARS IT WILL BE WORTH IT.
