well only 125psi would certainly give you no lift if you are running a 2500lb bag, it takes like 175 psi just to get my ranger to like 7inches of lift, if you got a big 2600lb bag then re adjust your pressure switch or get a 200 psi switch
THE AMOUNT OF PRESSURE IT TAKES TO EXPAND A BAG VARIES GREATLY WITH TEH APPLICATION. THE SUSPENSION SET-UP AND THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHCILE VARY, ALSO, PLACEMENT OF THE BAG IS KEY, SO THE REQUIRED PRESSURE TO EXPAND A BAG VARIES FROM APPLICATION TO APPLICATION. WHAT WOULD ONLY REQUIRE 125 PSI TO LIFT ON ONE VEHICLE, COULD REQUIRE 160 ON ANOTHER. (THINK OF IT THIS WAY, IF YOU BAGGED A SHOPPING CART (YES, IT'S BEEN DONE) IT WOULD ONLY TAKE MAYBE 60 PSI OR SO TO EXPAND THE BAG AND LIFT THE CART, TAKE THE SAME BAG AND PUT IT ON AN S-10, AND IT WOULD REQUIRE AROUND 135-140 PSI IN THE FRONT TO LIFT. I.E. : A 2 LINK REQUIRES LESS THAN A 4-LINK SET-UP (GENERALLY) CANTALIVER REQUIRES MORE THAN BOTH (GENERALLY) ETC ETC....
FIRST, IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME BAGGING A VEHICLE, CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE BAG ISN'T TWISTING WHEN EXPANDED. ANY TURN IN THE BAG'S "SLEEVE" WOULD NOT ONLY INHIBIT LIFT, BUT DO SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE BAG. SECOND, WHAT SIZE BAGS DO YOU HAVE? IS IT BECAUSE OF NO LIFT UP FRONT? NO LIFT IN THE REAR? ETC. EXPAIN.......
IF YOUR ONLY RUNNING A MAX OF 125 PSI, YOU PROBOBLY AREN'T GETTING ENOUGH PRESSURE.
ALTHOUGH THE BAG MAY PARTIALLY INFLATE AT AS A LITTLE AS 60-70 PSI, IT PROBOBLY WON'T FULLY INFLATE UNTIL AROUND 135-140, THEN COMPOUND THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE AND YOU'LL PROBOBLY NEED IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF 150 PSI TO GET THE LIFT YOU NEED.
it only takes like 120psi to lift my sdime about 3/4 of the way up w/firestone bags
more pressure maybe gauge is wrong
what size motor does ur truck have? what size bags are u runnin in the front? a friend of mine had alifting problem w/. his V6 s10 he was runnin a 2500lb bags & it couldnt get enuff lift. he simply switched over to 2600lb bags & solved the problem...... oh & my 720 would be at drive hieght (enuff to clear front tires) at about 60psi
ok i fixed it my gauge was rong i was only runnin 75 80 psi now i get plenty of lift with 100 psi thanks for all the help
oh and my tie rods are sitting on the frame keepin me from layin out wat do i do
with my 2500's on my truck it kept going up until my pressure stopped at 145. I had a V6 so id suggest running higher pressure. Youll have to notch your frame for the tie rods
is that safe and do you have eney pix
