Its all good Jamie. Of course cops are going to appear to be dicks, or even act like dicks. Most encounters with police aren't exactly to help look for your lost dog, they are because you are being pulled over etc, therefore its not going to be a pleasant experience, especially because they can give tickets, etc.
BUT.. driving a vehicle that is altered is going to get you stopped. There are a ton of violations that can easily justify a traffic stop, therefore EXPECT to get stopped.
Being a cop is the greatest job in the world to me, I wish all of you could experience it, and then you would see why we do the things we do. You can speculate all you want, but until you are behind the badge, you just won't understand.
And for the record, I have better things to do than pull over bodydrops and draggers, heck, we all know the drugs are in the old box chevys on 24s...j/k
The cops here in Huntington Beach are well known for being d*cks when it comes to mini trucks. They used to hang around near my buddies shop waiting for someone to drive off and then pull them over. I've seen the cops who do security at shows wait at the gate and start pulling trucks over when they leave. I got pulled over the other day - and I'm not your typical young male mini trucker, I'm a gramma for chrissakes!! He pulled me over for having tinted tails. When I explained that the lights still shine through red when I brake....he told me it didn't matter because I'm only allowed to have stock lights on the truck. X

sounds like a justified stop to me. It also states that you cannot alter the factory tail light, wether or not it emits red. Not his fault for doing his job.
If people don't like the DOT's requirements, why not fight them and get it changed?
I was pulled over this weekend for a noise violation....9 times out if 10 they would have been right...cept I had my radio at home because I was on my way to my shop to swap it out......Cop tells me my stereo was to loud and when he looks at my dash he asks me where I put it.....Dude even searches my truck looking for my radio......Bastard....
now thats ^ funny, you should have told him you shoved it up your ass

Robbie...I just had to take a look at your pic gallery...expected to see a stock truck. Guess it helps to be a cop so you don't get harrassed for having a custom.
