awsome i didnt think that i would need anything to thick cause my plan was to overlay and i am going to go w/ 16ga just to be on the safe side, i wasnt sure if 18 was to light or not but since alot of you are running 16ga that is what i am goin w/!!!

Just used 16 gauge on mine. Do yourself a favor though and get cold rolled. I used hot rolled becuase that's all they had and it was cheaper. Grinding off the mill scale to weld is a bitch. I hear cold rolled doesn't have as much as hot rolled.
