I have a 96 Dodge Ram 2500 extened cab with a 18" car hauler to pull my Nissan around. Its got the 360 Magnum V8. I'm a bigger guy and its nice to have the room in the cab for friends, cooler, or whatever. I have a hard tonneau cover over the bed, and it locks, so I can throw tools, spare tire, rachet straps, or anything thats to big to go into the cab and have the security as well.
On a side note I know that people will give you shit because you tow it but I can tell you this, i'll always get home if something happens to my truck, I come prepared! And no matter what hotel you stay at theres always someone walking around the parking lot asking for some kind of tool. Not to mention if one of my buddies breaks down I can pull my truck off the trailor load theres up and get us home.
