Michigan New Guy

Hey, I'm a new guy from Flint Michigan... I just go a 95 Chevy Crew Cab Dually with the 6.5l. I've wanted one since high school (which was in the late 80's I'm emabarrased to admit) and I finally broke down and bought one. Her body is pretty tired and its going to need a lot of TLC but mechanically its sound. I want to bag it, just run the stock tires and wheels. Nothing too crazy...

My crossroads is do I bag it this year and worry about the body next year or fix up the body this year and bag it next? I know, you'll be able to make a better educated decision if I post a picuture of the truck... I'll do that tonight.

Also anyone else in the mid Michigan area that has a bagged dually that I could check out your setup? Just trying to get ideas and all suggestions are welcome!

I ran out to the parking lot at lunch... Here she is. And this picture actually makes it look nicer then it is. The bedsides behind the wheel covers are wasted and its rusting above the front tire and where those giant mirrors attach to the door (I will be removing those mirrors soon since I don't tow anything).

The running boards gotta go too!

Welcome, its great to have another michigander on here. I am up by Traverse City. There are a few of us from MI on here. I have a bagged and bd'd dually, same body style as yours. You can check out pics in my garage on here. Hopefully you don't live right in Flint.... I hate that I don't even like to take 75 through there. Last time I actually drove off the freeway was about 12-13 years ago.

I will actually be working in Clio mothers day weekend at a biker show. I won't have my dually with me though.

welcome to the site.... glad to see another michigander..... im jsut south of you.. plymouth area... bout 40 minutes south of you but my trucks up in burton.... they hae mine you can check out and a dually that has a bolt on kit that hills hot rods did..... truck looks good... i would say bag it and bodydwork over winter that way can plkay now and be stuck in garage doign bodywork during those crappy months

Strangely enough, I work down in the Plymouth area... well Ann Arbor. I'm at Domino Farms. I would love to check out those trucks. Where is Hill Hot Rods?

hills hot rods was from texas...... hah thats funny that you work down there im bout 15 minutes from there im off m14/275 area near compurware arena.... you getting that truck from a dealer up in your area

fyi the one dually should be leaving there this weekend that has a bolt on air ride kit if you want to check it out
