What would be the optimal welder to purchase that I could do frame and bodywork with?

hobart, lincoln, miller 175. they are 220V welders and run hot enough to easily weld to the frame, but also set low enough for bodywork.
i personally use a lincoln 135 110V welder for everything and it works great. but you have to work a little harder when welding thick stuff. (angle grind, max heat with low wire feed, and really know how to weld well)
I'll be investing in a bigger one hopefully soon, mostly for the higher duty cycle.
We use a Lincoln 215 for all our frame work, its probably the best machine I've ever owned, but i just bought a miller a few days ago and like it pretty good also
i have a hobart handler 180 and i like it sofar
hobart handler here. And it has worked great for 2yrs strong. the handler Your Shit
^^^ yeah, what they said! I also have the lincoln 135. It is a little more work for frame work, but it does a good job. A good tip if you havent done so, look into taking a welding class at a community college.......
i had a hobart 135 and it was great but i just upgraded to the hobart 180 and i have to say a 220 is the way to go this thing is nice as hell dont know how i was working with the 110 before
i have a lincoln 175 and it works awesome. the lincoln 135 works too but it is pushing it.
I am taking a class in the fall, just wanted to go ahead and start saving for a welder tho and start practicing on my own. It'll be cheaper to buy one now than continue to rent one so that my buddy can weld for me.
