I'm about to start working on a 98. I am trying to see if I can use a wishbone to keep the gas tank and run the bars forward. We are pulling the bed off this weekend but I just wanted to get a head start on ideas.
Mine's an '01, but I'm betting they are the same pretty much. I've got no gas tank clearance issues except it's not close enough to the ground! I'll try to snap some pics tomorrow for ya though...
mine is a wishbone in the rear with bars running forward and my gas tank is in the same place
MY PAGE HAS SOME PICS OF MY REAR SETUP. ITS JUST A KP FOUR-LINK WITH BAGS OVER THE AXLE. THE LINK WORKS AWESOME BUT IF I COULD DO IT OVER I WOULD BUILD MY OWN SETUP JUST TO HAVE MORE LIFT. OTHER THEN THAT ITS A GOOD RIDE AND EASY TO INSTALL. CHECK OUT MY PAGE. -JASON ACRO N.GA.
damn chris, i had almost forgotten how much i loved your truck... that thing is fukin sweet.
Killer truck Chris. What all was invloved in the front to lay 22s?
Yeah, can we get some pics of what you did to the firewall in particular? I've got everything else moved or cut away, but the computer plugs on both sides have me crying like a little bitch... any hints/tips to make it less painful will be appreciated!

i'll get some pics soon i modified my stock control arms (cut to allow for the frame) and i have belltech 2" drop spindles. the computer on the passenger side was moved inside the fire wall ( just unplug it and cut the hole bigger and move it inside and then just plug the hole)and did basicly the same on the other side and i just moved the fire wall back about 1.5" for tire clearance.
