yes, but its alot more work.

this truck belongs to a freind. he brought it down after the Colorado left and we worked on it in the evening and on the weekends. it took 2 weeks total. probably 2 or 3 hours each evening a few nights a week and about half the day on saturday.

the guy tore the truck down to redo the cab and everything from the ground up.

I did a chevy dually a few years ago with the cab in and engine in. it was more work but we got it done.

is it easier to z' the frame or to section the crossmember?? ive heard it is easier to sectiong the crossmember. Also, if you dont z' or section it, how far will you be from laying out with 20's?

its a toss up, both are equally as hard.

if you dont do either, you will lay the crossmember and the frame under the cab will still be about an inch and a half from laying out.

if you Z the frame and section it under the cab, you lay the cab without a body drop.

it can be done in a weekend with some help.
