These are supposed to be nicer though iLLblazer. If this is normal, no problem, I'll paint it with my silver aluminum paint. Just don't care for the process of removing powdercoat. I've done enough to know it sucks..Oh no, i know that. My post was in regards to the guy saying his regular tank from SD was all scratched and shit, but all the cheapo tanks are.I'd be pissed too if i paid for a powdered tank and got one lookin' like that. I'm sure SD will look after ya.
Ok, I see. Yea, I haven't bought an air tank before. And the ones I've seen were painted to match trucks, and those were pretty smooth.
Robbie, thanks for doing that, I appreciate it.
i didnt know the e-tank was powdered and every other tank ive seen has looked better than mine
Yea, on SD.com it syas they come power coated metallic silver, or graphite or something. It's a pretty dark color. The consistancy of the powder is pretty good, everything is solid. It's just messe dup and they missed a few parts. The powdercoating is one of the reasons I sprung for this tank.
Its not from the E air valve company is it? If so then fuck no wonder all there 3/8" valves sucked, and broke down screwing everybody who used them those guys just dont test there shit good enough before the package it and ship it!
Yes, it is John. Hopefully it doesn't leak. Ricky at SD said they all look like that.
^^I haven't had any problems with my E-valves.
Thats good. All the welds on the tank look good but that one. My main concern was that weld, and the coating.
