Where to cut the bed????

Getting ready to raise the bed floor in the mazda im working on. So if possible im needing some pics or is someone can give me some info on the best place to cut the bed floor and raise it that would be awesome!!!! Pics would help alot.

I leave the top two bolts in the front panel to keep the bed from flexing, and just push it up out of the way like a barn door. Then I cut just above the bed floor on the side walls. When I get to the wheel arches, I just follow that cut up and around. Above the wheel arches I cut out a section for tire clearance. I cut all the way to the front, then all the way across the back. There is some big bracing in the back two corners, so I cut out about an inch or two from the corner at a 45 degree angle. Leave a few places uncut so it doesnt fall apart on you. When you are ready, have some friends hold the bed up and cut the remaining places. Dont forget the bracing underneath! Cut those apart as well. You need to pull the floor in a bit to slide up inside the bed sides. It will rest on the tops of the wheel arches and be pretty stable. You will only need a few filler pieces for around the wheel arches and at the back crners where you cut at a 45. Lengthen the supports underneath and you have a stock bed floor that s about 8 inches deep, no hole for the suspension!

I have a couple of mine, but I went a little higher so I cut the fenderwells completely out first and shortened them. Still the same idea though...

I'm wanting to this one like yours! So should I do it just like you wrote? Want the fender wells almost to the top of the bed.

haha my wife says thank YOU! It was really clogging up the side yard. I got a sweet aluminum topper you can have for extra cool points too Jim.
