shock mounts

my buddy is bout to bag the rear of his s10 with SD 3link w/pivots. and i mentioned to him i saw a picture of shock studs mounted on the side of the notch, and cant remember where i saw the picture.. if any of yal come across or have a picture showing this could you post it here for me?and how well would it work mounted on the side of the notch... any problem hitting sidesthanks
