I got mine for $2900 and it looked like crap. The guy said it had 30,000 on a rebuilt motor, but I just had to replace the head and I've only had it a year. I think the guy lied, because I found that the registration sticker was from another car when I went register it and they charged me for a new one. I haven't experienced the extreme reliabilty that you always here about with toyota's. I always tell people that they should get the truck that they like the most, looks, comfort, or otherwise... because everything breaks, and it's easier to put money into something you like than something you bought because you thought is was going to last forever.

Oh yeah, make sure it's a japanese model and not a canada... mine is a canada one, and that might have to do with the reliablilty problems. And make sure you run 50/50 anitfreeze and water if you get one, drain it to be sure. If its not, the aluminum in the head gets coroded and you have to replace it like me.

A yota would be a great choice for a truck. I have one that is bagged and bodydropped and I love it. You can sometimes find one for around 2000, but sometimes, they go for a lot higher than that. I would suggest getting a four cylinder with the 5 speed, that's what I have in mine, and I get great gas mileage with it.
