i have a 2000 ranger with a toyota clip fromt he firewall forward. my question is this. i am about to put a 302 in there and i know i am going to have to adapt the fuel and make motor mounts and transmission mounts and radiator blah blah blah. but what about my steering? am i going to come into a problem with my steering linkage and all that ? has anyone else done a 302 in a toyota or a toyota clipped ranger? if so can you tell me what you had to do to make it fit etc. did you have to do something about the steering? do you have any pictures of it?

Did you have any problems tucking up or clearing the bed rails or wheel wells with the 22's in the rear?

Check out my Bronco 2 profile. I've got the Bronco 2 body over a shortened and narrowed S-10 frame w/ a 302 mounted. The steering column will have to be moved up on mine, but will only use a couple of steering knuckles.
I dont think you'll run into too big of a problem. Let me know how it comes out...
