that looks to be a ladder bar setup actually. they are used a lot in hotrod applications.

not that the same adverse affect of a 2 link will hold true with that setup as well, except you can adjust your pinion ablge without shims. also a panhard bar, track bar, or watts link will need to be utilized to center the rear end.

These are ladder babrs are for a race aplication so would they not be more than strong enough for a 2 link?

well, the opposite is actually true. THe bars may be strong enough, but the race parts are made to be rebuilt every 1-2000 miles or so, which can get really old on a street driven truck. Also, track surfaces are usually pretty smooth, street driving has potholes and speedbumps and whatnot. Another misconception is that racing stuff is built as tough as possible, when actually race guys use the lightest part that wont break in 250 miles. If it breaks at 251, on the trophy lap, their job is done.

Not badgering, just giving a reason why race parts dont always make good street parts.

what would it gain you to put those on with your leafs? Your axle is already located, and sprung, and you wont be able to change pinion angle, so I am confused on why you would need ladder bars?

Also, with the two locators (the leaf and the ladders) having different arcs of operation, you could break one or the other on a big movement.

I just want to put them in so that I dont get axle wrap while its not bagged on mono leaf maybe it might save my leaf from breaking ? By big movement do u mean air cause I will not have it!!
