well, i already have the whole unit, like i said i have the fbi kit, but i want an alarm too because i have a lot of $$ wrapped up in the system. i know someone's going to get it if they really want it, but if the truck screams at them, at least it will scare off the amature thiefs anyway.

the auto page alarms have 4 extra channels and you can buy a channel expander and bump it up to like 9 i think.

Just my personal opinion, but I wouldnt do that. If you wanted to disarm you alarm for whatever reason, like a thunderstorm that was setting it off, you'd have to run out and shut your door. Or I would frequently hit the unlock/disarm button in my pocket. With the 1/4 mile range of new alarms, you dont even have to be anywhere near it. Having you alarm turned off is one thing, having the alarm turned off and the drivers door open.... well that could be very bad for the owners rights you hold on your stereo and cd case etc.
I did alarms for a long time, usually I would use ch3 for the drivers door and ch2 for the passenger, because ch3 was usually an instant trigger by pushing 2 buttons at once (hard to do by accident in you pocket) and ch2 was a push and hold for 3 sec.
So what I am getting at is you could boop just pop your door without waiting but if you had someone with you you could open their door too with a push and hold. Using accy channels would keep you from opening doors by accident, and using ch3 for the drivers door would keep the battery in the remote alive longer than holding for 3 seconds to use ch2 on the drivers door.
A 3 channel alarm is usually only a little more than a 2channel alarm. But like I said, just my opinion.

You can disarm the alarm without unlocking the doors.the alarms I carry have a disarm no unlock feature for when bad weather causes false alarms and you want to disarm it without unlocking your doors.

true, BUT
the unlock button is still just one button with an instant push.
Like I said, there is a big difference between accidentally pushing the unlock in your pocket 1/4 mile away and having your door open, different than having to accidentally push two buttons simultaneously (ch3) or push and hold a button for 3 seconds (ch2). Additionally, if my truck had power locks I could use the lock unlock as intended and if by some weird happenstance I DID manage to accidentaly trip either door opener, it simply wouldnt open, the doors would be locked. ( yes I know some fords and others will unlock when you pull the inner handle, but for that reason I usually hooked the solenoids to the OUTSIDE handle release )
Like I said originally, personal opinion.

yea well i dont sell child proof alarms. And every door popper remote that i have seen only have 2 buttons, one for the driver and one for the passenger, that pop the door instantly when you push the button.
If a monkey had wings it would fly.
