i was wondering if any of you have an alarm that has options to control you door solenoids. i have the fbi kit now & i'm going to buy an alarm, but i don't want 2 separate remotes. after searching the net it seems like ones like the prestige 510a have 2 optional outputs (trunk/sunroof/etc) is that how you do it?

what brand/model alarms are you all using & how did you wire them in?

i'm not an expert by any means on mobile electronics, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can use any alarm that controls power locks. use the lock feature for drivers and unlock for pass. you just have to wire in a few relays and thats it.

but doesn't the lock/unlock buttons turn the alarm on & off?

You use the unlock button for the drivers door and the 2nd output for the pass door.when you disarm the alarm it pops the drivers door and you hit the aux button to pop the pass door.I have alarms in stock for a hella good deal.My alarms have a built in relay.Let me know.

what kind & how much? i don't need the super expensive ones (if someone really wants your system, no squawk box is really going to stop them). i don't want remote start or glass break, etc.

so when you wire the driver door unlock wire to my solenoid, the button will pop the lh door & disarm the system at the same time? also you said yours have built in relays, does this mean i don't need to use the ones i have in it now? just a direct wire from the brain to the solenoid?

sorry again, i don't know a hell of a lot about this shit (i just follow the damn directions, sad to admit)

i never use the alarm when i do them, just the keyless part. nothing worse than that damn siren going off at a show. you should wire up a relay, on most and all the alarms i have seen do not have a built in relay that will handle the load of a door popper. i just use the wires on the alarm as your signal wire to activate the relay.
