they are "unibody" but there is quite a bit of modifying to be done to the front sub frame to make it lay out.

AN ASTRO VAN IS BODY DROPPED.IN SORTS.YOU HAVE TO Z THE FRAME AMD NOTCH AND 4 LINK THE REAR.YOU HAVE TO RAISE THE TRANNY TUNNEL AND WORK THE FIREWALL A LITTLE.I WOULD CALL IT A BODY DROP.

^^ technically its a stub frame design, which is a comnination of a shortened conventional frame front section bolted to the cowl and floor area of a unibody structure

as stated above, astros's DO NOT have a frame, just a front subframe. similar to what cars have

THEY HAVE A FULL LENGHT FRAME FROM FRONT TO BACK. I USED TO HAVE ONE. IT WAS AN '87. THEY ARE BUILT OFF THE OLD S10 FRAME. THERE'S NO UNIBODY CRAP ON THOSE. IF YOU WERE TO PULL THE BODY OFF, THE FRAME WOULD LOOK JUST LIKE ONE FROM AN S10. GET UNDER ONE AND LOOK, YOU'LL SEE THE FRAME RAILS GOING FROM THE FRONT BUMPER ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK BUMPER.

You sir are the biggest fucking retard I have ever met - the Astro IS a unibody/frt subframe design. The front suspension is based more on the caprice/fullsize components, certainly not an S-10. NOTHING from an S-10 will interchange on an Astro front end. And furthermore, you certainly cannot remove the body from the "frame" of an astro van leaving something that resembles a full frame underneath. The body of the van is a unibody structure, with a subframe that bolts in under the front doors forward. If in fact you did own one of these vans and you still claim it is a full framed vehicle then please, commit yourself to a group home because you are mentally retarded.

I have one of these things, and anyone that has "bodydropped" one as a stock floor arrangement and a truck in a conventional cut floor bodydrop can tell you that it is just as much work, questionably more than any cut floor bodydrop. So fuck yeah, it's bodydropped.
