Yeah dood. I would try using square tubing for your bottom bars. Thats what im runnin and havent had 1 problem as far as bending and twisting, etc... L8

Yea definitely go with the beefy square ones, with the bag centered. Won't bend one of those suckers lol

yea my buddies old set up was like that, twisted both bars in half and broke the front mounts.we even had a bridge made on the bottom to support the bag but hey u live n learn right?

i have the SD.com bag on bars setup and the bars are offset and i have no apparent problems. i know that the bars are in essence twisting a little bit, but all of my bushings ets are still great after a 2 years. i did, however make the bag as close to centered as possible to minimize that forces felt by the bushings.
all in all, no heims, bigger bars, and youll be fine whether or not you have them mounted dead center or a little offset.

Yea i think i bent one of the heims.. like the bolt part that goes into the bar. lol Cuz it has a nice curve going on and im sure i didnt buy it like that.. could be telling me something.. yea im goin with bigger bars and none adjustable bars.
