WHY?

Why is it some people feel the need to black out or somehow make their license plates unreadable in pictures? I never understood that. I mean, if I see the truck or car on the street the plates are there in plain sight. Is there something I am missing?

i dunno. Maybe because the dumb nigerian fucks try to take pictures of other people's cars, put them on ebay for a rediculously low ammount of money, then they end up with cash whereas the person that won the auction is wondering where there car is. If it has your plate number and shit they are going to trace it back to you and try to say you owe them a car/truck

I always figured it was to prevent someone trying to get their address where the truck is located. All a theif would need is someone close to them at the DMV or a police officer get the info for you. Then they know where the truck/car is hidden away at and can take what you have worked so hard to pay for. Just a precaution I guess. Cant be too careful, I have had 2 of my trucks stolen. Next time around I will take every oppurtunity possible to prevent it.

you dont even need that, all you need is a publicdata.com account. I have one and can look up almost any states driver info from a license plate or license number or even a full name. it gives criminal history and anything else you want to know.

it even gives other peoples names who lived at the same address.

You can get traced by your license plate. I wouldn't want to list all my stereo equipment and then have it gone in a week cuz someone want's it more than me. Maybe I lived in the ghetto too long!

I had my personal information stolen once and it is not very fucking much fun to try and turn off all the extra accounts. In KS, you DL # is your social, and you can get the DL # of registered owners. I already have to check my credit report three times a year and do the 20 step verification for every credit app I personally file.

So I block out my plate. And you can't make me stop.

You don't need government access to get someones address, all you need is the internet.
