well i definately want some thing out of the norm, right now i own a 96 explorer sport with a 6 inch lift sitting on 33's with custom paint, a 91 honda crx that has a body kit custom paint and sitting on 17's and a 65 chevy impala shaved custom paint and soon to be sitting on 20's so lets just say i do shoot for customizing a vehicle that you don't see alot of. and i have noticed that there arent to many kotas that are customized so that strikes my interest. like i said i want to drag something next summer so what would it take/cost to bag the rear fellas

Nvrhapy, I say do the Dakota, free to you, and baggin the truck aint rocket science, im 100% positive you can make it happen, and lets take into consideration the million and a half S10s bein built daily. an i mean even though I've got a newer dakota i think the old ones look good too

the rear shouldnt be hard at all. just like any other truck. 4 link, fuel tank relocation/ fuel cell. notch. not too sure about the older dakotas, but you may have to narrow the rear to open up wheel choices, and they dont like to run well with aftermarket fuel pumps and senders or some shit. just gotta run your factory one in a cell or just move your factory tank.

not sure about the front at all. talk to cris(bdydrpdak or something like that) he seems to know a bit about the Mopar trucks.

well i wouldnt really say that your current vehicles are that out of the norm, honda crx's wityh body kits are a dime a dozen so are lifted exploders and customised impalas, there all very standard vehicles. The older daks are good but can suck in some aspects. im not sure if narrowing is necessary but i can guarntee it will be cramped under the hood when the front is laid out because the 5.2 is a big ass block. I like s10's because there easy and cheap to fix and dodge is ok unique but costly in the end.

i guess you might be right big joe depending on where your from but from my experience you may see alot of explorers on the rode but there are very few that have extensive customizing, usually they are left stock or they just throw rims on them, usually you see more chevy fullsize trucks and f150 lifted up. and to my knowledge they don't even make explorer sports any more along with a honda crx, there is a fair share of customized rex's out there but there are definately more civics and cavaliers roaming the streets, and you tell me how many 1965 impalas you've seen. now i'm not saying there isn't another one of these cars hooked up in the world but i am saying they are not the so called cookie cutter of there domain. so thats why i feel tht there a step away from what you would call the norm

its your truck do whatever the hell u want. dont do somethin just cuz its easy, that takes the fun outa it..if we all took the easy way out all our trucks would be the same..thats how u can tell the diff between the guys that have bagged trucks just to have 1, from the guys that build their trucks b/c thats what they love
