I heard back in the day, the first adjustable air suspension was with air shocks. They used to just let the air out of the shocks to "dump" it! So I don't know if we really influenced the market at all but we are for sure helping to make it better.

dude your hillarious i think your shit fumes got to your head bro i dont think we influenced the ol timers at all try the other way around you think minitruckers where the first to lower there trucks people were lowering the back ends of there cars back in the 50's and 60's with bricks

I grew up around a bunch of old timers and they will all tell you air bags turned the car wourld up side down.
so I gess we have made a small dent in the kar kulter.
back in the 60s and 70s there were air bags that went in your coil springs. But they were so dangeros that they were made very ilegal.

Heck, I don't remember the exact years, but Cadillac had factory airbags. Believe it was the late 50's. You seriously think mini truckers influenced the market? More than likely the other way around. Only exception would be in which someone may have taken a product offered by a vendor and used it in a way not originally intended or someone came up with a scratch built setup that influenced a product.....

air lift has been in buisness since the 50s making helper springs and i have pictures of hot rods in the 60s using air bladders as they were called them to lift a car off the ground. they would put a weak short spring in there and the air bladder inside the spring and then inflate. it wasnt the safest thing about as safe as air shocks all the way around but it worked. there is your history class for the day

Way back in the day out in California they used to hack the landing gear off of planes in the bone yard. The begining of hydraulics and 'low riding'

What is cool is to think about the younger kids coming up and how everyone now influences them. I have 3 kids and 2 of them are saving up there money to build there own they are 10 and 9..I can only imagine what will be thought of and done by the time they can drive there rides. Its about keeping it going !!!

Next your going to say that Body Dropping and Smoothing was first done by Mini Truckers. Read up on your history of Kustomizing.
