I personaly prefer the third choice. put it in the cowl. I built a new upper firewall and slid mine down for the 5 inch chop on my ranger. can be seen in my profile.

yep, its just you.
ive been down the cutting glass road before.....check out the mazda in my profile, i fought for a year to find someone to cut my glass for me, and when i couldnt i exhausted every option i could to gather info on how to do it my self. Its a bitch, espically makeing cuts that will be clean and look good. Up in my area we just dont have any custom glass people either, or i probably would just go the regular route....

Well.. There is another way to do it too... But it would be a littel hard to do unless you to a complete teardown of the truck.. Mine was done this way. We lowered the whole cowl to keep stock angles and it uses ALL STOCK GLASS and gets the same effect and looks factory. Check out my profile.

idk jey, with teh cowl area on my truck, i really only thin i could drop it a inch or two, without having to start fabricatin a new firewall....and i really dont want to get into that right now because i wont be swappin motors untill next winter......ill have to look into it tho, if i can just drop if down 3-4" thats the route i will be going for sure.....
