yo, im contimplating chopping to top on my new project here, a 94 S-10.

Two methods come to mind, the traditional chop top ware you need to have new glass made for all 4 windows, and then the other way of laying back the windshield, and pillars so that you can use the stock glass and achieve the chop top look.

Im pretty farmiliar with the first method, so i am mainly curious to the second way, using the stock windshield, here are some of the questions i have....

first, with this method of laying back the windshield, how much of a total chop is uasually feasable.....

also, does anyone have any pics of a 2nd gen S-10 using the layd back windshield method?

any general information on this method would also be wonderfull. I just want to gather as much good info as possible.

i have allready scowered the IF website.....any others with good info?

thanks alot

can you post up a pic of ware you made your key cuts on the sheet metal....i obviously can see on the pics ware the cuts are, but im just trying to see what was taken out in that area.....what was the overall chopt amount on it?

I've heard of pushing the glass into the cowl... Like drop it into the firewall. I've never done it, but it seems like a good idea.

Thats what i did to mine drop down the windshield into the wiper cowl as much as i possibly could and then lay it back the rest till i got mine 5"....only setbacks are making a custom wiper cowl and making ur dash fit again..on mine i was plannin on making a metal dash but i sold/traded it before it came to that..so i cut a stock dash up till it fit
