so what is the crew cab conversion
i bought a hack job dually that had hydrualics on it. The bed was shot and the rest was ok, well i ended up swapping the front cradle to a 1/2 ton and the rear axle to a 1/2 ton and keeping the 1ton leafs. I put a standard long box on it. I had to get doors and fenders and some other shit. On Oct 1st i will take some pics of it when i take it to get the paint done.
Just kinda curious...
Why did you convert it to half ton? What was wrong with the bed? It's not a dually anymore? Why does my ass itch?
Oops, that last one wasn't for you.
Let me get this straight, you have a crew cab, fleetside, long box half ton?
The first owner shaved everything, Except the taillights and the drivers door handle.
All of the bondo was cracking and falling out so i said forget it. They cust a 15" hole for the c-notch and then ran the cylinder throught the back of the bed by the tailgate and then cut a sub box through the cab and box. Then the one side was cracked and hacked a few times so i said toss it.
It is not a dually anymore, i like the crew cab longbox fleetside look alot better. I saw a yellow one a few years back and decided that i wanted one.
I've got one of those projects going now also
it's on all four feet now and the body work is almost done. I want it painted befor the end of the month
mine also has the 1991 suburban front clip.
I sold my project Crew Cab chevy to a friend and decided to put this together.
