Ok, My 20s just barely rub my brake booster which means, absolutely no dragging I have been kicking around the idea of running a brake booster from a geo metro. I only want to hear from the people who actually are running the geo metro boosters, and not the "ive heard" answers.
Q: What all is involved? does it directly bolt on to s-trucks or do you have to make new mounting points?
Q#2: Are you using a metro master cylinder too or just the booster?
Q#3: How is the braking? it seems like it would make a big change in stop time.
Thanks in Advance to anyone who can answer!

question 1: yes you have to make new mounting holes, they are slightly off, this also allows you to raise it a little...
question 2: I am/was using booster and master cylinder...now going to hydrobooster
question 3: The braking is horrible..period, especially if you are running 20's, sorry man but from personal experience, they SUCK BAD

I installed one on a body dropped 99 ranger before. It had 20's.I ran the geo booster and brake master cyclinder..had to have steel braided lines made to make it work..the bolt holes did not line up slightly off..so i made a new plate out of 3/16 drilled my holes where of the new pattern and welded it to the firewall and u get the idea from there...as far as the braking power ya its nowhere near stock your going from a 10+ to a 7" your loosing lots of volume. But its nothing to cry over you will get used to it..its a good swap on the wallet since u can easily find these at junkyards.good luck

I have one on my Mazda with a V-8. it works great. it takes more foot pressure than a regular one, but with the 4 wheel discs on mine it will easily lock the brakes up.
my truck weighs 3880 pounds. thats alot for a little booster. the size was the factor for me, mines mounted down low in the back of the truck just in front of the rearend.

I had a metro booster on my old S-10 chad, for sure you will have to dril and mount new holes in the firewall for the booster to mount up, and you cannot use the S10 master cylinder with the metro booster, it wont slide in, so you will have to use the metro master cylinder. The stopping ability, wasnt horrable for my application....however, i didnt like it that much, becaue it was kinda un-predictable on stopping power.....so i switched back to a stock booster.
i still have a metro booster and MC in the shed i think, if you want it, you can have it.....hit me up on AIM

hey man, i am running a 7" corvette brake booster and master cylinder. It is way smaller than the factory s10, will clear my 22's BD 3.5" I have not used the system yet becuase my truck aint close to done. I am running wilwood 4 wheel discs so that helps too.

i installed one on a 85' 720, and it worked great, accually it worked better then the stock one. im putting one on my 88 sdime, because my wheels barlly rub the huge ass stock one. the one main diffrence ive seen between the metro and the sdime one, is that the chevy one has bigger brake lines then the metro master cylinder.

werd, i forgot to mention that about them line size.
Hey chad, over on ebay you can get 7" and or 8" dual diaphram booster for less that 100$, i just got mine, it arrived wed, it looks great, and should work our perfect, bolts right to the firewall also.
Another thing with the metro booster, the rod that connects the booster to the pedal, ware you apply the pressure, they are completely different and you will need to cut and weld your stock one to the metro one.....or whatever one you choose.
