Who cares if someone buys someone else's truck... somebody's got to buy it. If it wasn't for those people i'd still have my sonoma (thank god!)

Not everyone is capable of building a truck, not everyone has the time, not everyone cares to learn how. So what.

After working on mine for the past year and a half I can see why people would either pay to have it built or buy someone else's... its a lot of work.

Another thing is, you can buy someone's already built truck for a lot less than it would be to build that truck most of the time.

so all yall "built not bought" people may think your cool but your killing mini truckin

I HAVE BUILT MY TRUCK WITH HELP FROM FRIENDS OF COURSE -- BUT I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THE ABOVE STATEMENT -- THIS "BUILT NOT BOUGHT" REFERENCE IS HURTING A LOT A NICE TRUCKS FROM SELLING SO THE OWNER CAN START SOMETHING NEW --- OK SO YOU PUT 10-15-20-30K PLUS INTO YOUR RIDE -- AND WHAT ITS STILL WORTH ABOUT 5-10G -- WHY BECAUSE OF THE MINITRUCKER MENTALITY OF "BUILT NOT BOUGHT" --- WHEATHER YOU PAY A SHOP TO BUILD YOUR RIDE OR YOU BUY A TRUCK THAT IS ALLREADY BUILT -- DOES EITHER ONE OF THESE MAKE YOU LESS OF A MINITRUCKER OR AUTOMOTIVE CUSTOMIZER -- I THINK NOT --- TO EACH IS OWN --- I SAY IF YOU LIKE THE TRUCK AND YOU HAVE CASH -- THEN BUY THE TRUCK -- ITS YOUR LIFE DONT LET ANYONE SWAY YOUR DECISION --- MY TWO CENTS -- TAKE IT FOR WHAT ITS WORTH ----

well seeing that my old truck is the cover. these pics were takin at blood drag 06. i never took credit for anything. except for the things that i added to make the truck better. if you will read the article i traded my fullsize that was stockfloored on 22's shaved and molded. the reason for the trade if it even matters. is that i had a child on the way. i love the scene but i knew would not have time with the new one on the way to finish the fullsize.so robert the former owner made a deal and we traded. so quit talking shit about things you dont even know about. i just upgraded my subscription today .post like this make me wish i would have saved my money. people like you make this mag suck. why even say anything if you cant have it you must bash it.

Since this is a flame thread and I'm not afraid to get ripped into on the internet, I'll add this... Most of the rides with the "built not bought" sticker are hacked up and looks like the suspension was welded on with a family farms welder and was done in the driveway.

Who cares! Ive never bought anybodys truck, but that kinda attitude makes our type of trucks from selling at good prices. You can find bagged trucks around here cheap all the time. And what about the person who wants to get into the scene but has no friends or skills to do the work. Why give him shit let the guy drag with us, he will eventually break it and have to fix it. He will learn and soon be building his own truck like FatboyS10

I would like to elaborate a little on this also. I see nothing wrong with buying finished trucks as long as you acknowledge you did. also people sometimes don't give someone else a chance in our scene unless they have something already and maybe thats their way of getting noticed.

i personally find nothing wrong with it. yeah, the whole respect for the work done really blows up when you build it yourself. but I would also like to think every minitrucker respects the work put into any truck built. It's not easy, period.

All of us have put hours upon hours into our trucks, be it directly or indirectly. Even if they aren't bagged, if you look past the "custom" stuff and see that the truck was probably in "not so good condition" when they got it.....theres a LOT of work just to get them looking good.

All of us work out asses off to drive a mini, or fullsize, or whatever it is you may drive. The guys that buy the trucks built worked hard for that money, and you worked hard for your money and building it. Really don't see a big deal with it.

putting your family first is more inportant than anything. that is the #1 reason i traded for the truck. i wanted to have something to show.so that when i was able to make it to a show i would have something finished to bring to a show. i had worked on my fullsize for about 7 years. i had it finished twice but kept on changing it as our sport changed. after all those years i was ready for a change. well i have spent enough time away from my family over this topic. so i will see everyone at Unite!!!!!
