Maybe I misunderstood the conext of this thread, but should I be looked down upon for buying built trucks? I have 2 previous cover trucks that I have bought. I love showing them and will contiue to do so.
Why would you ever look down on someone who buys an already done truck? They might not have the time/knowledge/space to build one.
For the scene to grow most people must sell their rides to build another one. I am sure when someone sells their truck they are building a more badass truck and thus raising the bar. I for one will never look down on the person that bought someone elses truck.
That is my 2 cents take it for what it is worth.

im gonna say this and it will probably start so much shit. but the "built not bought" motto is extremly gay and ignorant. it shouldnt matter if the truck is stock or built as long as your not taking all the credit for a fully done truck that you havent had anything done or modded on.

My old truck gets dragged all over the place by my buddy who bought it! I even get to drive the thing if i ask him, he will just toss me the keys! HAHA

The reason I learned to build my own s@#t is because I didnt have the $$$ to pay someone.
