Why stretch a Crotch Rocket?

There is no forum for bikes so I put this here, cause I like Minitruckers

Anyway, I just saw this bike in the classifieds. Why is it stretched? Just for looks? Or is it for some sort of improved handling? I know choppers are stretched to enhance the look, same thing? Kinda looks weird to me but still a badass bike.

mainly, if you drag race the bike....so it wont come up on you and wheelie

ya its to make it more stable when racing but guys do it now on the street just for the look. i think it looks like shit personally.

They're a bitch to turn too, no fast turns anyway

I've got an adjustable arm and lowering links so I can enjoy the best of both worlds , twisties and drag racing

my friend had a YSR50 in 1991 (the YSR50 is a street legal pocket crotch rocket, had a 49cc two stroke, 5 spd, 12 inch wheels and full fairings) in which he installed a water cooled YZ490 motor. He stretched the swingarm NINE INCHES and still had to lay over the gas tank to keep the front wheel on the ground. I bought the bike from him in 1999 (YZ490 motor long gone) and my friend sold that custom swingarm on ebay lol.

i dont think it looks like shit...although that green bike kinda looks crappy because its not lowered...
