Hey have you guys ever heard of mounting a motor with only a motor plate in combination with the tranny crossmember? check ou this link for a reference It looks like you could hide your motor mounts near the firewall with this idea.

no, those mount on the front of the engine. plus, it would be solidly mounted and your truck might shake a bit. it would be cool to have something like that but cutout some cool design like tribal or something.

I would'nt reccomend mounting them solidly either. I would use some bushings for sure and yeah the one I showed you is for up front. check out this link it shows a wider range: http://www.markwilliams.com/esell/prodlist.asp?catid=1062

I would'nt buy one either, I would make my own.

Isnt that for drag cars to help eliminate torque spin?

yes almost any race car will have solid mounts like that, would def not recommend for a street driven car, as you will be vibrated to death

Now i don't remember the kit i used but about 10 years ago i put a 460 into my 88 mustang and used the exact same thing. You have to have double gaskets i believe for the water pump and that cause it mounted to the WHOLE front of your engine. Neat idea but i wouldn't do it for a daily driver....Although it looks cool it presents alot of problems.
