did you guys have to put your own foam in your fuel cells? Do you recomend doing it?

my cell is a triangleengineering cell and it came with foam in it.. i know you can buy it fom them too to put in a cellTriangle Engineering

Keep the foam in but if you are cutting the tank take it out to keep the shavings out of it what we did with my buddies pump on his fuel cell we set it where the sump is, wich is the lowest part of the cell, use some rtv to make a gaskit

my pump is mounted about level with the top, i got it installed for the first time and then like a day later i pulled the motor and got it ready for paint so to be honest, im not sure, get a hold of me around rweso time and i will let you know.

on my buddies ranger, he has the same summite cell that unvmytruck has. his fuel cell sits bout 6 in above the frame rails to keep it from draggin the pump is right in front of were the leaf hanger in the rear was.

I would make sure the foam is compatible with alcohol. Earl's, Aeroquip, XRP are all starting to recommend their Teflon lined hose for street cars also. The gasohol mixes the gas stations are pumping out now deteriorate most of the performance stuff we regard as bullet proof.
