when i turn the switch on...nothing...leave it on for a while,eventually the park lights come on???ohh...and i got 2 new headlights in it...is it the switch or is there a relay somewhere...its a 90 se5 standard cab wit power steering and ac.

If its both the parks and the headlights I'd suspect the switch.
You can take apart the column plastic and meter the switch if you are electronically inclined at all. If not, you are going to end up throwing parts at the problem. The switches do go bad though.

lol i had the same troubles with my truck, never could figure it out, i even swapped the steerin column...... but my hibeams didnt even work.
