i have the miller xli and i like it. they can take alot of abuse. only problem i have is it only has 2 sensors on the top of the lens. so when you crawl in tight places you better be sure its on sensitive or that the sensor will catch the arc. the elite series has 4 so its harder to blind yourself, but its also larger.

just the run of the mill lincoln helmet from lowes with the wide opening, and a sweet flame job  dont really care for those auto darkening helmets, cause i usually break anything i own.

the one I use is made by Radnor(got to keep it after being in welding in school), its just plain.. but it fits good and doesnt look too bulky.

Steve - i was considering getting the same one, just the pic on ebay wasnt too great. yours looks awesome

I have a Hobart auto darkening shield that I bought at TSC. It has been really good so far(6 months) It's nice and light so you don't wind up with a neck ache if you are doing alot of head down welding. It seems pretty durable too seeing as I've dropped it a few times now(lol)The lense is adjutable shades 9-13 and the price was right. It looks similar to little b's mask minus the grafix.

i've got the miller XLi for work and an Elite big window for jobs that require more "sensitivity" and delcate work...those helmets are expensive to use and consumables aren't cheap either..i have a regular fixed shade for bullshit welding or if friends wanna drop by
