Didn't you mention that truck in one of your previous coloums? I guess you can take it of the list of old mini trux missing in action(lol)Good to see that it's still around and looking as good as ever. Hope it finds a good home. Maybe you should pick it up...lol

I did mention it a few years ago. I actually knew where it was back then... one of the few that actually survived. It has been up on blocks in the back of the owner's speed shop in Temecula, CA for more than 10 years under a cover. And while it is showing its age a little, it is in amazingly good shape.

Honestly, I am surprised he is selling it. When I talked to him last, it sounded like he planned on keeping it forever. Bums me out that I bought a 620 a month back. But I paid a lot less for a stocker than I would have paid for this one. Plus I am shooting for more of a Mark Beardsly-inspired look for my new truck. If you don't know who that is, look him up in old issues of Truckin' His LUV was the best (before he F'd it all up and painted it white)!

I remember Beardsly's truck for sure, a very influential truck from back in the day. I will definitly be looking forward to seeing what you come up with for your 620 project. Maybe you should go for the ABBACAB look and give it a chop? BTW, Whatever happened to your old Mazda? I loved that truck.

I don't think I want to chop it... I like actually fitting inside of the truck! LOL

More of a lots of louvers, single color, polished porsche (fuchs) wheels. Simple interior with low-back buckets. But I did put a Sirius Radio setup in it - hidden from sight so it doesn't ruin the sparce look of the interior.

Ernie from NR and Low Life Mike got to check it out the other day. It's a solid truck, but it's gunna need some sheetmetal lovin. I have been driving it back and forth to work. I really like that it gets nearly 30mpg on the highway with the later-model 5-speed tranny.

Sounds like it will be a groovy little truck to roll around in. Everything old is new again I guess. Good thing 'cause I just keep getting older(lol)You gonna hook up a Flex Thru window for it? Perhaps a five panel wink mirror or beer tap shifter?

Kurtis, you better revive the 720! Cause it is on! It's gunna be battle of the old-school minis out at reso this year...

And if I could find a wink mirror and a flex-thru I would run them without question! I also want to find one of those louvered wink mirror covers to go with the wink mirror!
